“I wanted to create a brand that combines my two biggest passions: Playing tennis and designing textiles.
Before Ivincia, I graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons The New School For Design in New York City, with a Summer semester abroad at Central Saint Martins in London. While studying, I trained in the textiles design departments for multiple luxury fashion houses including Alexander McQueen and Vera Wang. It was through these experiences where I truly fell in love with designing textiles! The beauty of seeing how artworks came to life on beautiful garments inspired me to create my own label.
I grew up playing tennis at age 6 in Barcelona. I never found tennis dresses I loved wearing so I decided to use my background in art and fashion to create beautiful tennis dresses that feature printed textiles.” - Olivia, founder & designer of Ivincia.
Sustainability is at the heart of all our production and design choices. Ivincia’s mission is to create timeless pieces designed to remain in your wardrobe for years to come. We choose quality over quantity and believe that this is the future for sustainable luxury fashion brands. This is why we produce in responsible quantities and do not design for the fast fashion market.
All of our collections are designed as well as our initial samples are designed in our studio.
Some of the collections are even produced in the studio by our talented seamstresses. At Ivincia, we love to push the boundaries of tennis dresses and having the freedom to produce tennis dresses in our studio gives us immense creative freedom to come up with unique designs for luxury tennis dresses.
Our technical textiles are printed in Spain. Our supplier prints textiles for many of the premium activewear brands you will have already heard about ;) We choose to print with them because the quality is second to none. We regularly visit the facility during the design stage to discuss which fabrics to select and oversee the process.
We source textiles from suppliers that are located in Italy, France, Germany, UK and Spain. They are all high profile vendors who supply to renowned luxury brands. All our fabrics contain sweat-wicking, two-way stretch, quick-drying and anti-pilling qualities which are designed specifically for high performance and durability (ideal for your next tennis match!).
The majority of our tennis apparel is made by a family-run atelier in Spain. This atelier has been in the owner’s family for generations. We make regular visits during the manufacturing stages to check up on how the production is going. We always ask for leftover fabrics and scraps back from production so that we can recycle or reuse any leftover textiles which otherwise would have been thrown out during production.
